The bridegroom did not really tarry as His time was already known by His Father.  But the fact that He did not appear when expected made it appear that He tarried.<p>Because expectations were not met, the TenVirgins fell asleep. Their senses were dulled because of the ^delay^ resulting in disappointment and discouragement.<p>The world has a strong power to dull the senses and distract from reality.  But false teaching will also dull the senses and distract from the Truth of the Word.<p>Beware of FalseProphets.
