Their response was a lie, as not speaking the truth when one knows it is a form of lying. How could a person who teaches people to repent and draw near to the Lord <b>NOT</b> be from the Lord?<p>The truth was irrelevant to them.  They wanted to destroy Jesus.  So, they swung at Him and missed. But they will try again.
