A child who dishonored their parents was put to death.  Why so harsh? -> dishonoring parents is a symptom of dishonouring the Lord -> not honouring the Lord is a sign of foolishness -> foolish people are destructive to themselves and others -> foolishness is chaos -> chaos destroys society
