Paul did not want to build on another man`s foundation because elements of Judaism and other heretical doctrines may have been sown making it difficult for the pure Gospel to take root. <p> This is a problem today because variations on Christianity have become deep-seated with adherents refusing the Truth because of the momentum of tradition and doctrine.
