Seed must be kept safe or else it will rot.<p>The seed is the WordOfTheLord.   When the Word is not treated with respect its effect is as if it is rotten - it does not produce what it was designed to produce.<p>What is presented here is a picture of stagnation where the things that produce life are forsaken to rot away.
