The earth and its fulness is the Lord^s.  Heathens are squatters.  They may call the land theirs but it is not so.<p>When Christ returns He will eradicate squatters from the earth.<p>Despite the modernized definition of heathen the intent in this verse is to identify all nations that were not Hebrew - specifically people who did not serve the True and Living God.<p>Bringing this concept of the word into Christianity, a heathen is a person who does not believe in the deity of Christ Jesus but worships some other false deity.<p>Though we have traditionally talked about Judeo-Christian commonality, the reality is that the only commonality we have is that Jesus was born a Hebrew through His mother Mary.   <p>In fact, by rejecting Jesus as Lord, the Hebrews made a distinction between their god and the True and Living One - the LordJesusChrist.  So, since the Crucifixion, Jews now fall into the category of heathen.
