Deceit comes from entertaining those ideas that conflict with the WordOfTheLord. If a person does not know the Word of the Lord there are very susceptible.
Even if a person knows the Word of the Lord they are still susceptible because of the wiles of Satan. Eve knew the Word of the Lord but she allowed Satan to misquote it and did not immediately detect his lie and intent.
Those who reject the Truth of the Lord are pushovers for the lying, deceiving Satan. They will immediately and completely be deceived by Him.
Deceit is for the purpose of destruction. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy and he deceives to accomplish his purposes.
The WrathOfGod is the destruction that is called the WagesOfSin and it comes upon all those who sin.
