Circumstances may be good or bad. When they go bad we can be distressed and even grieved.
But circumstances in the PhysicalRealm are subject to the Truth in the SpiritRealm -> if we believe and -> if we take action.
The first step in overcoming circumstances is to get out from under them.
David encouraged himself in the Lord thereby getting out from under the circumstances. This was an act of faith as his property was still gone.
But he didn^t just encourage himself and pray that the Lord fix everything. He asked the Lord for guidance. Once he knew that the Lord approved of his plan, David took his men and went after the enemy.
David recovered everything that had been taken from him. Furthermore, He also took the enemy^s property as spoils.
The LordJesusChrist has given us His authority and power over the works of the enemy. But authority and power are of little value until they are exercised.
