The profaning of the temple refers to Paul bringing gentiles into the temple.<p>Here we see a fundamental problem with the Jews -> Abraham was chosen to bear the seed that would bless the whole earth - Christ Jesus -> the Hebrews saw their ^chosen^ status as a seal of superiority -> the OT never shows the Hebrews trying to spread the worship of YHVH to other countries -> it shows the Hebrews despising other people <p>Under what circumstances would a good God exclude any of the people He created from coming to worship Him?<p>This is one of the aspects of Christ Jesus identifying Himself as the Truth.  We see in Joh 3:16,17 that the ^real^ God does not play favorites.  Abraham was ^chosen^ to bear the seed that would bless all men, not just his descendants.
