Jews are not chosen 'regardless'.   
That would be arbitrary, unfair and totally inconsistent with the Gospel of Grace Through Faith In Christ Jesus.   

The 'Chosen' are those who are called by the preaching of the Gospel and who respond positively to it by receiving the Truth - Jesus Christ - as Mighty God, Lord and Savior.   

Listen to what Jesus (who is God) said to them:

Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of heaven shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. Mat 21:43 Israel was rejected as the heirs of the Kingdom because it rejected Christ Jesus whose Kingdom it is.      From the time point that Jesus spoke these Words forward, the Chosen People were not genetic descendants of Abraham, rather the Chosen People are the children of Abraham by Faith.      No Jewish person has been or ever will be accepted by Christ Jesus based    ➛ on their genetics or    ➛ their traditions or    ➛ their Judaism A remnant of genetic Israel will be saved by Grace Through Faith In Christ Jesus.

Physical DNA is irrelevant.   
Spiritual DNA is everything.   

We must be born again of the Word and Holy Spirit of Christ Jesus in order to be Chosen.   

Israelis are decent people.   Israel is an ally.   
But they nor their nation have standing in the Kingdom of Heaven apart from faith in Christ Jesus.   

Our policy toward Israel should be based on American interests only - not some wrong understanding of how God used Jews historically or their place in prophecy.   

Spiritual Israel is the body of Christ composed of all those who are in Him in Word and in Spirit.   

For those of you into prophecy, read Revelation substituting Believers for Israel.   You will understand that the Beast will come after Christianity which is world-wide - not the puny nation of Israel.   

As a matter of fact, the Beast may be a Jew as they have shown a propensity for gaining power and wealth.
