Polytheism has existed in the various false religions for thousands of years.
Monotheism is the original fundamental understanding of God that was forsaken and then reinstituted in Judaism by the following:
When Jesus was born and recognized as deity we ended up with a Father and a Son. Now there are 2 Gods (at least according to the Carnal Mind).
With the promise of the Holy Spirit by Christ Jesus and His outpouring on the Day Of Pentecost we now have 3 Gods.
Or so it seems. ..
How do we reconcile with this so called trinity?
Was Moses wrong in ?
If there are 3 Gods why not many more?
The trinitarians claim 1 and 3 are the same which is illogical and deceptive as 1 is monotheistic while 3 is polytheistic.
One of the problems creating confusion about our 1 God has to do with our connecting human father-son experience with the actual miracle of Immanuel - God with us.
In human experience a father and a son are 2 different people.
But 'God with us' should be taken literally and not fuguratively. When taken literally, the eternal, omniscient, omnipresesent, omnipotent God (Who is Spirit ) manifested Himself on earth in flesh.
With this literal understanding Jesus is the incarnation of God. He is the Express Image of God. This leaves us with the Father and Son being 1 and the same being as Jesus clearly taught us in .
So, now we are left with only 2 of the trinitarian persons 1) Father/Son 2) Holy Spirit.
When we read we find that the Holy Spirit begot Jesus in the womb of Mary. So, by any straightforward thinking we conclude that the Holy Spirit is the Father of Jesus.
Along with this revelation we obtain corroboration of it by Jesus Himself who said that God is a Spirit . Since there is only 1 Spirit , we must conclude that God is the Holy Spirit.
Since the Father and Son are only 1 person, and the Father and Holy Spirit are the same person, then the Father Son And Holy Spirit is only 1 person.
If you are still struggling with the simple concept of 1 God consider this verse:
Here we find the Word and God being together in the strongest sense possible - they are the same being.
Jesus is the Word made flesh . Jesus is the Incarnate Word. Since the Word is God then Jesus is God.
Now let's consider two facts:
➛ Jesus has all power in heaven and earth
➛ Jesus is the only Saviour
If the Father is not Jesus then the Father has no power and the Father cannot save anyone.
If the Holy Spirit is not Jesus then the Holy Spirit has no power and the Holy Spirit cannot save anyone.
If you are still stuck on the trinity please tell me the names of
➛ the Father - as 'father' is just a role
➛ the Holy Spirit - as 'holy' is just a descriptor and 'spirit' is just a type of being
Seriously, if you have no name are you really a person?
Jesus is the name of God. He is the Spirit Soul And Body of the 1 and only True And Living God.
Jesus is the name of the Father, Jesus is the name of the Son and Jesus is the name of the Holy Spirit, giving clarity to what Jesus was talking about when He used the singular word 'name' when referring to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in .
After all this, if you persist in trinitarianism, please give the other two persons names as a matter of respect for their personages.
As for me, I will rework Moses statement in as Moses did not know the name of the Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.
Hear O Church, the Lord our God is 1 Lord and His name is Jesus.
