When I was developing software, I would create new ways of doing things - new functions, new classes, etc.
But back then there was a respect for the user community so as not to break anything that had been working flawlessly using an older version.
In other words, you made sure that your new feature did not break old features.
With the involvement of non-Christian people in the software development area you do not see this kind of empathy for those who do not want to change.
Rather, you see the word 'deprecated' which means 'express disapproval of' being used to change people way of doing this and to eventually stop supporting the old way.
With respect to programming languages, this attitude causes software which used to work to fail forcing a reprogramming in order to maintain old functionality.
This is perverse.
Mercenary people have no compassion on those they are being paid to abuse.
Many printers were forcibly deactivated by Microsoft by simply not porting the drivers for those printers to their bloated new operating system.
This forced people to not only upgrade their OS but they had to buy new printers as well.
This is perverse.
Whenever there is a monopolistic control of any part of the American economic system the government has a responsibility to stop it.
I suspect the printer deal was a result of collusion between MS and the printer manufacturers.
It was an example of forced obsolescence. Which again makes every sense to the business but reflects an abuse of the consumers.
