Title: Jesus is the only Saviour and He is Lord of all

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.     To him be glory both now and for ever.     Amen.
What is the source of knowledge of Jesus (who is the Truth)?
1) the Word Of The Lord which is Truth
2) the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit Of Truth.

When we spend time meditating on the Word Of The Lord the Holy Spirit reveals more Truth to us which enables us to appropriate more of His Grace Through Faith.

Many believers in Christ have not grown to the knowledge that Jesus is Mighty God - the image of His Holy Spirit who is the eternal, ominipresent, omniscient, omnipotent being we call `God`.

Until that revelation knowledge is in us, there is still a separation between us and `God`.     Realizing that the Holy Spirit in us is `God` in us is critical to the exercising of the Faith Of Christ.

By the Faith Of Christ we are able to do His works.     The fact that we do not see His works being manifested in and through believers is evidence of this fundamental lack of knowledge of Christ Jesus.

Jesus is Lord.

Can Jesus be your Saviour and not your Lord?

It is a fact that Jesus shed His blood once and for all to forgive all sin for all mankind.

So the payment has been made.   The debt has been forgiven.   Or has it?

Is everyone saved because the debt has been paid?   No.

What is required to effect salvation?
That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that His Holy Spirit has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
This is the encapsulation of Grace, clearly pointing out our part which is faith in Jesus and confession of Him as risen Lord and Saviour.

The implication of our part being to believe on Jesus Christ and confess Him as risen Lord, is that He has done everything else!
It is why we call it amazing Grace!
It is why the gospel is nearly too good to be true!

Who raised Jesus from the dead?
He raised Himself by His Holy Spirit .

For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
It is Heart Faith that enables the miracle of the New Birth.

It is our personal confession of Jesus as Mighty God, Creator and loving Saviour that seals that miracle.

So that clearly defines how one is saved.

But what does it mean to 'confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus'?
What are you confessing about the Lord Jesus?    that Jesus is Lord

But what does Lord mean?   It is another word for God.   We know from that Jesus is Mighty God.   We know from that Jesus is the only God.

So to confess the Lord Jesus is to confess that Jesus is God.   Is the confession or acknowledgment that Jesus is God sufficient?

The word Lord implies master.   Master implies owner (in the case of slaves) and it implies control.
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed;
To continue in the Word is to become a doer of it.     It is to allow the Word to change how you see, how you hear, how you think, how you speak and what you do.

Don`t skip a step and don`t stop short.
    Hearing is step 1.
    Believing is step 2.
    Receiving is step 3
    Doing is step 4.

See He Be Re Do.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and will come unto him, and abide in him.
Having a Love Of The Truth (with Christ being the sum of all Truth) is necessary for us to be obedient and therefore experience the manifestation of the Father`s love in and through us.

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.
To abide in Jesus is:
to be Baptized In The Name Of Jesus Christ
to be filled with His Holy Spirit.
to have the Mind Of Christ.

When you are in the Holy Spirit, in the Word and have the Mind Of Christ, you know that He has provided all things for life and godliness, so that when you ask, you receive .

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
Our performance should be supernaturally motivated - not as a forced action in response to a command.     A person In Christ will supernaturally do good works.

From the above verses we understand that there are four levels of faith in Christ Jesus as Lord.   We must hear, believe, receive and do the Word in order to effectively treat the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord.

To glorify the Lord Jesus Christ we must respond to His Words in faith and obedience.

So the question "Can Jesus be your Saviour and not your Lord?" is practically lived out by most Christians.

Listen to what Jesus said regarding what we do with the Word which is critical to our salvation:
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.
What have we received?
All things for life and godliness .

What are we to give?
All things for life and godliness.

Who are we to give to?
Whosoever will come to Christ Jesus in faith .

Jesus wants us to administer His kingdom to those who will enter into it by faith in Him.

If you are a believer and receiver of Christ Jesus, you have all things for life and godliness in you.     You are to give out those gifts to others freely.

Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:
We are to teach all nations.     What do we teach?
The Gospel of Jesus Christ - not the Gospel of God.

What is the key component of the Gospel?     That Jesus is the Truth about our Creator.

What is the Truth?     That Jesus is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Note that name is singular - there is only one name and that is Jesus.

But how can Jesus be the Father and the Son?     To understand this we must know who the Father is.     He is the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said `I and my Father are One`.     This means that the Holy Spirit Father is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus.     Jesus spoke through the prophets about Himself by His Holy Spirit.     He then became the person He prophesied about - Jesus.

Jesus fathered Himself by His Holy Spirit, just as He raised Himself from the dead by His Holy Spirit.

So, rather than talking about some confusing trinitarian circular logic involving a three-in-one godhead, we aught to recognize
that Jesus is the Name Of The Father,
that Jesus is the Name Of The Son and
that Jesus is the Name Of The Holy Spirit.

The name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is Jesus.

Jesus instructed us to use His name when speaking to His Holy Spirit Father in us.     He said `ask the Father in my name`.     Referring to a person by name adds precision and honor to the address.

Our Creator is Spirit Soul And Body just as we are who were created in His image.

Jesus is Lord!
Be Baptized In The Name Of Jesus Christ

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.     Amen.
Notice that Jesus said we are to teach what He has said - not what the Father or Holy Spirit says.     Why?
Because He, Jesus, is the voice, the image of the Holy Spirit Father, the Incarnate Word.

So we see that it is in teaching that believers are `immersed` (baptised) into Him.

He is saying make disciples of the believers and that He will never forsake us.
But He did forsake us.     He ascended to Heaven.
However, He sent us His Holy Spirit who is His essence and power.

`All things` means that what Jesus told the original disciples was not just for them but for all men for all time.

So, implicit in the Lordship of Christ Jesus is obedience to His marching orders.

Listen to what Jesus said regarding His servants.
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter you into the joy of your lord.
The Law Of Multiplication is in effect by the authority of the lawgiver who declares that our small faithfulness will yield great rewards.

And cast you the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
But the fearful, and unbelieving...     shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.     -

But aren't we Sons Of God?
Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Jesus is talking to Jews, those who did not receive Him as Mighty God.     He was not talking to the believers in Him.

Jesus Christ is God.     Faith in Christ Jesus is critical.     Faith in God apart from Jesus is unacceptable.

The will of the Holy Spirit Father is that you Receive Jesus as Mighty God, hearing, believing and receiving His Words and His Holy Spirit.

For whoever shall do the will of my Father who is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
The criteria for being in the family of the Lord is laid out here.     hearing the Word, receiving the Word and doing the Word makes a person a member of the Lord`s family,

Truly, truly, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
Though Christ Jesus is the Lord, He humbled Himself to the Will Of The Holy Spirit.     Likewise, though we are made Sons Of The Holy Spirit in the New Birth we must humble ourselves to the Will Of The Holy Spirit.

Jesus became Saviour by virtue of His work on calvary.   He has always been Lord as He is the eternal Word.   But Jesus is only Lord of a person by an act of their will to receive Him as Lord and be obedient to Him.

Those who refuse to accept Him as Lord remain rebellious.   Rebellion is what got Satan kicked out of heaven.   Those who refuse to come under the authority of His Word are not fit for the Kingdom Of Heaven and so will be cast into the furnace of the Lake Of Fire.
