Title: Celebrating Christian Holy Days on the Christian Calendar

It is a fact that the birth, death and resurrection of Christ occurred on specific dates on the Jewish calendar.

It is a fact that the Holy Spirit was poured out on a specific date on the Jewish calendar.

However when the Christian event occurred, it occurred on a specific date on the Christian calendar.

For some reason we celebrate Christmas based on the Christian calendar but not Crucifixion Day, Resurrection Day or Pentecost.

Why is that?

Most of what is observed today across Christianity came out of the Catholic Church.   It is tradition and nothing more.

Just to show how silly and confusing some of that tradition is, consider 'Good Friday' and Resurrection Day.   They are separated by 1 day when Jesus clearly said He would be in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights .

The prophetic events that have yet to be fulfilled will occur based on the Jewish calendar.   But once a prophetic event has occurred it is locked in on the Christian calendar.

The four prophetic events which occurred relative to the Jewish calendar are:
Birth of Christ March 20, 6 BC - Christmas
Death of Christ April 25, 31 AD - Crucifixion Day
Resurrection of Christ April 29, 31 AD - Resurrection Day
Day of Pentecost June 15, 31 AD - Holy Spirit outpouring on Pentecost

Christians are not Jews.   Jews are a genetically connected group of people.

Unbelievers in Christ are not Christians regardless of their ethnicity, and hence are not saved.

I personally believe that tying Christian events to the lunar calendar was a trick of the devil to minimize those events.

Most Christians do not use the Jewish calendar so they need some expert to tell them when their holidays are.

Everyone is born and so has a birth date.   In that sense Jesus is no different than the rest of us.

However, Jesus is the ONLY One who had the ability, desire and determination to die for the sins of all mankind.

That makes Crucifixion Day a red letter day.

Everyone eventually dies but Jesus is the only One who died and then raised Himself from the dead.

That makes Resurrection Day a red letter day.

All humans are born with a spirit.   But it is a corrupted one out of which proceeds all the ills of mankind.

On that one specific day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit Of Christ Jesus was poured into human beings making them New Creatures with Eternal Life.

That makes Pentecost a red letter day.

May Christians of all denominations reject the Catholic Church's erroneous decision to celebrate Christian events based on the lunar calendar when that calendar is not used among Christians.

We need to use the actual Christian calendar to promote these foundational events in our history.

What is to prevent this?   Traditionalism.   Observing these holy days is an aspect of worship.   We should do so correctly.
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Whenever we substitute being In Christ with legalism we worship the Lord in vain.
