Denying Christ or Proclaiming Christ
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.
Jesus is saying that to willfully and verbally deny Him before men is the Unpardonable Sin.

Why is believing on Jesus and confessing Him before men so important?
    Because Jesus is `God`.
No one can be accepted by `God` who has rejected Him.

Jesus states that a person`s words against Him requires Him to speak against them to His Holy Spirit Father.
What does that mean?
It means that His Holy Spirit will not dispense Grace to the denier and so leave them to inevitable destruction.

If Jesus is not a person`s advocate before His Holy Spirit they are condemned to the Lake Of Fire .

Faithfulness is a characteristic of our Lord Jesus Christ.     If faithfulness is not a part of a person`s character they will deny Him eventually.

A person`s denial of Him will require His denial of them.

See Denying Jesus for clarity on how unbelievers of different levels Deny Jesus.

To be in a position to Deny Christ means that you are in a defensive position.   It means that someone else is in control.

Peter was not the only Disciple to Deny Jesus.   All but John ran and hid so they would not have to be identified with Christ.

A quiet Believer is only marginally better than an Unbeliever.   How so?

A Believer who does not Understand their Responsibility to be a Witness for Christ does not Understand what it means to be a Christian.

I hear some saying "I am a Witness by living a good life".   A Witness to what?   A good person, a good Hindu, a good Buddhist?   A good Atheist?

That doesn`t cut it.
If that is your attitude you will simply not Overcome when the heat is on.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
This is one of the most important verses in the book of revelation for each of us personally.

We overcome by two actions and one attitude.     The two actions
    Jesus shed blood
Our testimony that Jesus is our Creator and Saviour.

The one attitude is
Being willing to die for Christ`s sake.

Take up Your Cross and enter into fellowship with Jesus, experiencing His suffering and His joy.

The reason that we must love not our lives is that Satan will use all his power to turn our hearts from the Lord.     We must be willing to die for His testimony.

We are called to be Light and Salt, not just to live "better" lives.
Ye are the light of the world.     A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Jesus is the llght and by receiving Him through the New Birth by the Holy Spirit we become light.

We ought to recognize the responsibility upon us to let our light shine.

Light is more powerful than Darkness because Darkness exists only when there is no Light.
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
This is the Great Commission.     It is still in force.     We are expected to carry the Gospel to every creature.

Jesus did not expect every person to believe, but He wants us to make sure all nations hear the Gospel as it is a criteria for His return.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
What have we received?
All things for life and godliness .

What are we to give?
All things for life and godliness.

Who are we to give to?
Whosoever will come to Christ Jesus in faith .

Jesus wants us to administer His kingdom to those who will enter into it by faith in Him.

If you are a believer and receiver of Christ Jesus, you have all things for life and godliness in you.     You are to give out those gifts to others freely.

In these verses we see the marching orders for the Church.   We are to control the World rather than be controlled by it.
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Who are we?

Chosen
We who have received the invitation of the Holy Spirit to Grace Through Faith In Christ Jesus are the Chosen People.

Royalty
We are members of the royal family of the Holy Spirit in the New Birth.

Priestly
We are called to minister the Gospel of Grace to everyone.

Holy
We are the righteousness of the Holy Spirit by virtue of being born of Him and filled with Him.

Peculiar
We are New Creatures In Christ Jesus and so above humanity.

What do we do?

Praise
We show forth the praises of Christ Jesus who has brought us into Newness Of Life.

Reflect
We teach the Light and Truth of Christ Jesus

Dispel
We attack the darkness by reflecting the Light of Jesus Christ

Beloved, now are we the sons of the Holy Spirit, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
We know that the Creator (Jesus Christ ) made all living things to produce after its kind .      So, when we think about being a Son Of The Holy Spirit we aught to see ourselves as like our Heavenly Father who manifests Himself in Spirit Soul And Body - the Lord Jesus Christ.

When we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and confess Him as our risen Saviour we are born of the Word and the Holy Spirit as New Spirit beings.

Accordingly, we are now Sons Of The Holy Spirit, even in these mortal bodies.     What glory we will experience in the translation at His appearing!

The `appearing` of Christ has a two-fold meaning.
Jesus will return with every eye seeing Him and with us being translated from corruptible to incorruptible.     We will be gloriously changed into perfection
The spiritual revelation of our identity in Christ is also an appearing of Christ in our psyche.

When we begin to see ourselves as New Spirit beings empowered by the Holy Spirit we become like Christ Jesus.     The Mind Of Christ becomes our mind with the associated manifestation of His power and His authority.     -

With respect to trinitarianism, is this verse saying that we will be three persons in one as we will be like Him?
Of course not.     We are already like Him in form - Spirit Soul And Body - and we shall be like Him in quality when the corruptible puts on incorruption at His appearing and our translation .

We see that we are royalty, priestly sons of God.
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Who gave Jesus this power and authority?
His Holy Spirit Father who had birthed Him, annointed Him and raised Him from the dead is the source of all things and Jesus is His express image.

Remember:
Jesus is the eternal Word in flesh and
the Word is inseparable from the Holy Spirit .

If all power in heaven and earth belongs to Christ Jesus there is no power or authority left for any other being in the universe.
This means that He and He alone is
    Mighty God
    Everlasting Father
    Saviour
    Lord
    King .

This verse speaks to the singleness of God as manifested in Christ Jesus.     In the next verse Jesus tells us to teach and baptize people in His name as He is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
The beast and his supporting world leaders will come against Christ but He will destroy them.

Christ has all power, He is King, He is Lord.
And if children, then heirs; heirs of the Lord, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Joint Heirs means that we share in all things - the glory and the persecution.

And we are joint heirs with Christ of His Power if we manifest His Light through us to the World.

Understanding our Commission and Seeing the Glory that God has raised us to, why would we ever be in a position to Deny Christ?

It happens because of Unbelief.   A person who does not Believe who they are in Christ Jesus will be weak and defensive.

A person who is in Faith will proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ with Confidence and Power.

If you wonder whether you will be able to withstand the attack of the Enemy and not Deny Christ, I can assure you, you will Deny Him.

A soldier who is properly prepared for battle never drops his shield.   He never stops wielding his sword.   He never stops advancing.

Are you properly prepared for battle?
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of the Lord, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Who sits upon the throne?     The king.
Who is the king?     Jesus.
What is the lamb?     It is a role that the king played for the purpose of salvation.
Only one can sit upon the throne.
So the king and the lamb are the same person - Christ Jesus.

The phrase `unto him that sits upon the throne and upon the lamb` tells us that the Holy Spirit is the one who deserves `blessing and honour and glory and power` for His work in the lamb, Christ Jesus.     Note the use of the words `unto` and `upon`.     We give worship unto the Holy Spirit through worshipping Christ Jesus upon whom the Holy Spirit has given glory.

Many people attempt to find the Lord and worship Him.     But the Holy Spirit (God) cannot be found except through the person of Jesus who is the Strait Gate and the Narrow Way.

Every creature that has ever lived will one day praise The Majesty and His lamb.

Jesus is no longer a lamb.     He is Mighty God.     When reference is made of Him on the throne and Him as the lamb, we need to understand that the one on the throne is the lamb.     But His role as lamb is finished.

This verse tells us how to prepare.   Note that you will not be able to withstand the attacks of the Enemy without it.

"The best defense is a good offense"

The above adage is not from the Bible - directly.   However it is the principle by which Satan works against Humanity.   It is also the principle by which Christ Jesus expects His Church to operate for Humanity.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
The rock is `the testimony of Jesus Christ`.     It is what saves us and enables us to overcome.

The church is the body of all believers in Christ Jesus.     The body is made up of people with `the testimony of Jesus Christ`.

The Gates Of Hell will not withstand the church when the church wields its testimony.

The testimony of Jesus Christ is the rock that will burst open the gates of Hell.   Jesus expects us to attack the stronghold of the Enemy.

We are not suppose to be on the defensive.

So, rather than being Weak and in jeopardy of denying Christ we ought to be Strong in the Power of His Might proclaiming the Gospel to every person.
