Son and Servant, Spirit and Soul, Perfect and Carnal    

5 Let this Mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a Servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became Obedient unto Death , even the Death of the Cross.   

This passage speaks to the duality of Christ - God and man.   

He had the Mind of God and did what God sent Him to do.   

He had the body of a man and became a Servant to Free, Heal and Forgive.   

We are to maintain that same Duality that Christ had.   

When we were Born of the Spirit we were Born of God so we should have the Mind of God and consider His Power, our Power.   

But as Christ operated in the Mind and Power of God as a servant, so should we operate - to Free, to Heal and to Forgive.   

Many great men of God have failed to manifest the Duality in balance.   

The problem that destroyed Satan was his Pride.   He was so beautiful, so musical, so glorious that he coveted the Honour that belonged to God.   

When a person begins to operate in the Mind, Power and Authority of Christ, people will be drawn to them as much as to the God that empowers.   That adoration can destroy a man just like it did Satan.   

That is why we must at all cost continue to see ourselves as servants while the New Creature Manifests the Power and Authority of God.   

The apostles of the early church were such men.   They are needed today if the world is going to be Saved.

We are both Children of God and Servants of God.   We have been Born of the Spirit and we have a natural Soul and Body.   

We are Eternally Saved by Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ and we Receive the gift of God which is Eternal Life ( Holy Spirit).   We are New Creatures Born of the Spirit of God.   

However, our Soul and Body are still unregenerated in the sense that they are not New as our Spirit is.   

Both Soul and Body will be regenerated at the appearing of our Lord.   

In the meantime, we must do a lot of learning and submitting in order for us to experience Abundant Life.   

A person can be Born of the Spirit and still be in Physical Bondage.   Unless and until they willingly ask for the Bondage to be broken they will wallow in it.   

Here are some verses which speak to how our own will determines whether our Soul and Body are Saved (experience Abundant Life) in this life.   

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; -
Submit yourselves therefore to God.   Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.    -

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.    -
Likewise, you younger, submit yourselves unto the elder.   Yes, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.    -
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.    -

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.    -
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.    -

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.    -
But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.    -

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, -
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.    -

This is only a few of the verses which speak to how our Soul is Saved in this life.   In each of the above verses the Spirit is speaking to those who are Born Again.   He is telling us that we have to take willful action in order for us to experience Abundant Life even though we have Eternal Life.   

When we consider the Author and Finisher of our Faith, Christ Jesus, we see how the Duality is to manifest for Abundant Life to manifest in and through us.   

Not to pursue the mark of the prize of the high calling of God is to miss out on the fulness of Abundant Life in this age of the World.   

Let us understand the difference between Eternal Life and Abundant Life.   Let us understand the difference between Spirit and Soul so that we do not dig up the Root because we do not yet see the Fruit.   

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.    -
Being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: -
