For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Rom 8:6 Our mind is that which    ➛ connects our spirit to the physical universe    ➛ receives inputs from our 5 senses    ➛ organizes and prioritizes information    ➛ forms ideas and opinions about the world.      Because we were born with a Sin Nature and we live in a fallen world our minds are corrupt.     We must have our minds renewed so that we cease being Carnal Minded and become Spiritual Minded.      Being Spiritual Minded can only be done    ➛ by our New Spirit being    ➛ operating through our Soul    ➛ which has been transformed by the Word and Holy Spirit.      In that state our thinking, meditations, speech and actions reflect Truth and we experience Abundant Life Carnal Minded is the opposite.         ➛ It is disconnected from the Word and the Holy Spirit.         ➛ It ignores our New Spirit existence.         ➛ It continues to operate in the flesh.      In that state there is only disappointment, discouragement, disillusionment and death.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against the Lord: for it is not subject to the law of the Lord, neither indeed can be. Rom 8:7 The Lord is a Spirit.     He does not relate to the animalistic tendencies of man because that mindest cannot grasp the value of His laws and so cannot live in them.      Not only is a Carnal Mind focused on self but it is also limited to the Physical Realm.     It has no understanding of the Spirit Realm and in many cases refuses to admit the existence of the Spirit Realm.      Enmity is the state or feeling of being actively opposed or hostile to someone or something.      So there is actually animosity toward God by those who reject the Spirit Realm.     And that animosity is actually reciprocated by God to those who reject Him.     That animosity is not agressive but passive in that He simply withholds Himself from them.      It will only be in The Judgment that the Wrath Of God is poured out upon the Carnal Minded.      As we interact with people in our lives we will encounter the Carnal Minded some of which have never heard the Gospel and some of which have heard it and rejected it.      Since without faith it is impossible to please God - and faith is a substance of the Spirit Realm - those who have rejected the Truth will not only have animosity toward God but will also have animosity toward you who love God.     This is unavoidable.      Those who have a Love Of The Truth will desire God and He will reveal Himself to them In Christ Jesus.     Those who have not a Love Of The Truth will be offended by the Truth and will strike out against it whenever it is expressed.

A Carnal Mind knows only what can be experienced through the five senses.   

It is as if there is nothing beyond the physical universe.   

But there is!   

The Carnal Mind is not aware of and cannot relate to God who is Spirit.   

Those who see and live life from the perspectuve of a Carnal Mind are in spiritual darkness.   

They are Lost.   

Jesus talked about people who had eyes but could not see, who had ears but could not hear.   

He was talking about people with Carnal Minds who could not or would not grasp the spiritual Truth.   

Life flows from God who is Spirit.   

Though physical life orginates from that Spirit it has no power to rejuvenate or continue indefinitely.   

This is why the Carnal Mind is enmity with God.   There is a big disconnect.   

God, who is life cannot coexist with death.   

The Carnal Mind results in death sooner of later in every respect.   

The disconnect from God is spiritual death.   As a result physical health is lost, hysical life dissipates and physical death occurs.   

God does not hate people who have Carnal Minds.   He pities them.   

Furthermore, His will is that none of them perish but that they all come to experience Eternal Life.   

If you know someone with a Carnal Mind share with them God`s love in creating them, in suffering for them, in preparing a place for them in Himself.   

If just one person with a Carnal Mind sees the light of the Gospel of Christ Jesus through your testimony, you will not have lived in vain.   

This is why it is imperative that we be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
