Republicans believe in liberty, economic prosperity, preserving American values and traditions, and restoring the American dream for every citizen of this great nation.   As a party, we support policies that seek to achieve those goals.   

Our platform is centered on stimulating economic growth for all Americans, protecting constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms, ensuring the integrity of our elections, and maintaining our national security.   We are working to preserve America`s greatness for our children and grandchildren.   

The Republican Party`s legacy -- we were originally founded in 1854 for the purpose of ending slavery -- compels us to patriotically defend America`s values.   As the left attempts to destroy what makes America great, the Republican Party is standing in the breach to defend our nation and way of life.   

Conspicuously absent are these planks:
   ➛ balanced budged
   ➛ abortion is murder
   ➛ elimination of welfare
   ➛ smaller government
   ➛ lowering taxes
   ➛ state`s rights
   ➛ term limits
   ➛ border control
   ➛ English as sole language
   ➛ taxes for infrastructure and defense only
   ➛ elimination of federal agencies
   ➛ elimination of subsidies

So, we see there is a lot in the platform enabling them to enlist the support of true conservatives while avoiding the core actions that those conservatives want to see done.   

The reality is that the Republican Party is essential a mildly socialist party compared to the Democratic Party.   

2026-01-03 - Firewall I just got an email from 'Thune' saying that the Senate Majority was a 'firewall'.   There was a lot of truth in that.   ..   unfortunately.   

A firewall does nothing but retard the spread of fire.   It does not stop the damage from the fire.   It does not put the fire out.   It does not restore the damage done by the fire.   

This is at best what the Republican Party is - a firewall.   It is not capable of rebuilding and it has no interest in rebuilding our nation.   

All the evils in our government - waste, debt, enablement, lordship, etc.   are a result of people in government serving the greatest common denominator of people in our country.   
   ➛ The highest priority subgroup in that denominator is government itself.   
   ➛ The second highest priority subgroup are elitists.   
   ➛ The third highest priority subgroup are the 'wards of state'.   

For those of you far removed from the concept of a greatest common denominator, it is simply the largest number that can divide into bigger numbers evenly leaving the smallest residual numbers.   

Division and unity are opposites.   
Division results in weakness while unity is strength.   

So, our Republican friends are part of the problem.   They have been watching for the past 60 years while the Democrats have been burning our nation down.   Right now, the fire is 'under control' but it is just a matter of time before the fire leaps the firewall and begins to rage again.   

Americans deserve better than this.
