Armour

Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Jesus said without Him we can do nothing . But in the power of His Holy Spirit we can do all things .

Make up your mind to draw from His strength, power and might to face the issues of life and be victorious.

We appropriate the blessings of the Lord by faith in His Word that leads us to speak with His authority backed up by the power of His Holy Spirit.

Put on the whole armour of the Lord, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Translated from KJV
Implicit in the command to put on armour is the fact that you are in a battle.     It is not possible to avoid the battle in this age of the world.
To ignore the battle is to allow the enemy to move forward and gain ground.     To fail to put on armour is to make oneself an easy victim of the enemy.     Once you are equipped with the armour you are to go into battle.
When we look at the armour, most of the implements are defensive with only one offensive weapon - the sword of the Spirit - the Word Of The Lord.     But that one weapon is all we need to move heaven and earth.
The devil is the slanderer, the accuser.     We know that he has no argument to come against us before the Lord Jesus Christ who is our justifier.     However, he works through men to attack us.
We are facing a time when believers will be blamed for all the worlds's problems because we resist the satanically inspired policies.
At the end of the Great Tribulation the beast will be systematically putting believers to death.     This act will precipitate the return of our Lord.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The point of this verse is clarity.     Evil is spiritual disease.     Good is spiritual health.     Evil issues from Satan.     Good issues from the Holy Spirit.
We are to see past the physical manifestation of good and evil to the spirit that inspires it.     In so doing, we operate from a position of superiority, enabling us to deal effectively to cast out the evil and to promote the good.
Flesh and blood is needed to impact the people of earth in the Physical Realm.     That is why the Lord made Himself a body and we called Him Jesus whose purpose was to redeem us from our lost state.     Likewise, Satan uses flesh and blood people to do his work in the earth.
Spiritual Wickedness is the foundation for the attacks against our faith and our work for the Kingdom Of God.
That Spiritual Wickedness comes from Satan through His deception of mankind.     Darkness is where Satan rules, using his powers of persuasion to convince men to turn away from the Lord.
When a person rejects Christ they become a Child Of Satan and unknowlingly or willingly become his instrument to steal, kill and destroy.
Flesh and blood are inspired and motivated by the spirit and soul inside it.
The spirit of every person who has not been born again is a Sin Nature.     The soul of every person who has not been Born Again is Carnal Minded.
A Sin Nature spirit and a Carnal Minded soul make for the person a tool of Satan.
Just as our spirit and soul manifests Christ, the unregenerated have spirits and souls manifesting Satan.
We do war against people who are Children Of Satan.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of the Lord, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Translated from KJV
Who sits upon the throne?     The king.
Who is the king?     Jesus.
What is the lamb?     It is a role that the king played for the purpose of salvation.
Only one can sit upon the throne.
So the king and the lamb are the same person - Christ Jesus.
The phrase `unto him that sits upon the throne and upon the lamb` tells us that the Holy Spirit is the one who deserves `blessing and honour and glory and power` for His work in the lamb, Christ Jesus.     Note the use of the words `unto` and `upon`.     We give worship unto the Holy Spirit through worshipping Christ Jesus upon whom the Holy Spirit has given glory.
Many people attempt to find the Lord and worship Him.     But the Holy Spirit ( God) cannot be found except through the person of Jesus who is the Strait Gate and the Narrow Way.
Every creature that has ever lived will one day praise The Majesty and His lamb.
Jesus is no longer a lamb.     He is Mighty God.     When reference is made of Him on the throne and Him as the lamb, we need to understand that the one on the throne is the lamb.     But His role as lamb is finished.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
We have to determine to stand
   ➛ The will to stand is all on us.
   ➛ The strength to stand is all on the Lord.
On what do we stand?
We stand on Gospel Truth, by which the righteousness of the Holy Spirit abides in us.

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
We stand firmly with our feet strongly planted in the Gospel of peace.     And wherever we go the Gospel should be evident.
But those who reject the Gospel of peace will experience the Wrath Of God .
We see in Jesus` instruction to His disciples that the Gospel may be received or rejected.
Peace abides on those who receive it while the peace returns to us when the Gospel is rejected .

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
The Faith is what we believe.
Faith is the vehicle by which we connect to The Faith.
Faith does not just happen.     We have to take the shield of faith.
To quench a fire is to overcome it, to subdue it.
When we take the shield of faith we nullify the enemy`s attempt to hurt us and put him on the run.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of the Lord: Translated from KJV
When you know that you are saved by the blood of the lamb and the Word Of Your Testimony and that there is no condemnation on you, you have the helmet of salvation.
Your offensive weapon is the sword of the Spirit - the Word Of The Lord. It is the only offensive weapon you need.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Talking to the Lord in the Spirit ( Prayer Language) is how we build ourselves up in faith .      It enables us to pray effectually and fervently .
When we have asked and believed that we have received the request, we then persevere until we see the manifestation .
When supplication is made for others we must encourage them in the faith, to believe that they have received the petition and to persevere until the manifestation.
By watching we are expecting and looking to see the manifestation.

Why do you need armour if you are not facing the enemy?

This scripture attests to the fact that we are at war - whether we like it or not.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:
Be not deceived is a warning to all who would entertain conversation with the devil.
None of you have ever or likely will ever be approached by Satan as he is a spirit and needs a body to manifest in this world.
But, Children Of Satan, humans who have rejected the Truth of Jesus Christ, are everywhere.
Each of us is either a Child Of The Holy Spirit or a Child Of Satan.
Each of us speaks the oracles of the one who is our master.
Be sober, be vigilant is a warning against deception by which people are devoured by Satan,

It is time we went about the work of a soldier - defeat the enemy. He has been destroying our heritage, enslaving and killing our children and wreaking fear through terrorism and lawlessness.

We fault Obama for not recognizing Islamic terrorism while we have `given place` to the devil until he has backed us into a corner.
