Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Life is about growth.   As long as there is life something will grow.
If we think about our lives as a lawn, there may be beautiful grass or ugly weeds.

Our words and meditations of God are the release mechanisms of God`s Grace which enable the "grass" to grow and keep the "weeds" out.

When our words and meditations are apart from God, Grace is blocked, the "grass" dies and the "weeds" spring up.

Meditation on a specific idea or subject can be very beneficial.   It gives us clarity, depth and perspective.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

So, we are exhorted to be judicious in what we meditate on - things that proceed from God.

Transcendental Meditation involves clearing one`s mind and opening it to thoughts outside oneself.

Would You open the front door of your house and wait to see who would walk in?

This is what TM is about.   It gives Satan an opportunity to transmit his thoughts into a person`s mind.
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

The thoughts that proceed from TM may seem beautiful but Satan only wants You to be wide of the mark.

The Word of God should be the object of our meditation.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.

Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.

I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.

I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

Timothy 4:15

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Praise ye the Lord.     Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle`s.

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
