Title: Overflow - more than enough

Abundance is of God.   The Universe is extravagant.   Our Creator did not Create `just enough` but He created bountifully.
The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The thief is Satan who is the inspiration for all the evil in the world.
Whereas the `I` is Jesus who offers us Eternal Life and Abundant Life.

This verse is a powerful statement contrasting the nature of the enemy with the nature of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Note that the enemy takes by force what is ours, while we must appropriate by faith what is ours in Christ Jesus.
The appropriation is not a `one and done` thing.     Rather, it is an ongoing process throughout our lives on this earth.

Jesus has given us His life in giving us His Holy Spirit who is in every believer who has asked to be filled.     We aught to invoke His life into every aspect of our walk in the earth.

Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yes, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
What is the Lord's righteous cause?
He created us to be His children in intimate personal relationship with Him.

Understanding this prompts us to magnify the Lord constantly.     Such revelation induces us to rejoice and be glad in the course of our lives.

Knowing that our Lord's pleasure is to give us His Kingdom fills us with His praises.

Unfortunately, there are many believers who see the Lord as cold, demanding, stingy and manipulative.     Satan has stolen part of the Truth, a big part of the Truth, about our Heavenly Father.

This verse tells us unequivocally that our Lord enjoys seeing us prosper .

But my Lord shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Paul`s use of the phrase `my Lord` indicates two things:
that he knew the Lord personally,
that others had a misconception of the Lord.

Paul received personal revelation of the Gospel by the Holy Spirit so that he had no doubts about
the finished work of Christ Jesus,
the boundless love that it demonstrated and
the amazing Grace that it provided.

Unfortunately, humanity has a long history of perceiving the Creator God as mean - spirited and vindictive.     So, Paul was basically saying that if your god does not supply all your needs then you may be worshipping another god or at least ignorant of the true and living One, Christ Jesus.

The riches of the Lord Jesus Christ are immeasurable, as is His love, as is His Grace.     All that is needed to appropriate those riches is faith in His goodness and His Word.

The earth is the Lord`s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
Everything belongs to the Lord and He gives it to whom He will.

And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
Jesus illustrated the heavenly principle of multiplication.

And he said unto him, Your brother is come; and your father has killed the fatted calf, because he has received him safe and sound.
Regardless of our state when we come to Christ, He will make us safe and sound.

And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
Resentment for the blessings of the Lord on someone else is satanic in nature.

And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve you, neither transgressed I at any time your commandment: and yet you never gave me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
Whining, complaing and resenting.     How ugly and ungodly.

Seeing therefore it remains that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Our Creator has willed to have children who are born of His Spirit and His Word.

But those who resist Him and remain in unbelief are rejected and cast out.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.     For with the same measure that you mete with such it shall be measured to you again.
Giving activates the principle of multiplication.

And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, you delivered unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
But there will be accountability with reward and punishment.

His lord said unto him, Well done, you good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter you into the joy of your lord.
The Lord blesses manifold.     The law of multiplication works in the kingdom.

Behold, I am the Lord, the Lord of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
God created everything but this verse points out that He is God of all flesh.     It emphasizes the fact that God is the source of all life.

When we look at the complexity of the human body we cannot help but be amazed at His knowledge, wisdom and power.     If God can design, make and enliven us, what can He not do?

All of our Needs have been met in Christ Jesus .      Furthermore, He gives us the Desire of our Hearts .

And they found fat pasture and good, and the land was wide, and quiet, and peaceable; for they of Ham had dwelt there of old.
God wants us to enjoy His Creation.

But the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
The fruit of the Holy Spirit is supernatural fruit.
Holy Spirit fruit is powerful and dependable.
human fruit is weak and fickle - undependable.

Only when you are filled by and walk in the Holy Spirit can you manifest the character and power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Walking in the Spirit makes the Law a moot point.

Therefore the Lord give you of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:

But seek you first the kingdom of heaven, and the Lord's righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Understanding and adopting this Spiritual Law is the secret to Abundant Life.

So, how do we seek righteousness?
We believe the Gospel and receive the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith in Him.

The Kingdom Of Heaven is the Kingdom Of Christ in whom resides all power in heaven and earth.

And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
We must go forth and possess the Blessings of God in Faith of His Love and Goodness.

(The Lord of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as you are, and bless you, as he has promised you!)
God is the God of excessive Goodness and Giving.
