One who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another    
You cannot be a disciple without absorbing the teachings of the one you follow.   You must not only learn the doctrine of the teacher but believe it so that the passion of the teacher is in you.   

Christ called us to be disciples.   
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Jesus taught His disciples and then sent them out.   
These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
