Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. |
You give children tools by which they can navigate life.
Being able to read and write and do arithmetic are fundamental tools.
The spiritual foundation on which children should use these tools is Christ Jesus who IS Truth. His knowledge begins with ➛ where they come from, ➛ why they are here and ➛ where they are going.
Once a child knows these things and comes to know the One who created them, died for them and rose for them, they are set for life - here and in eternity.
God made us in His image with the ability and desire to create, to produce, to prosper.
We aught not treat children as cattle to be herded and corralled.
Jesus came to set us free so that we can explore Him, others and His creation.
He is life, love, beauty and goodness.
What follows is the context for our existence.
O Lord, you have searched me, and known me. He knows everything. There is nothing hidden from Him. |
You compass my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. |
You have beset me behind and before, and laid your hand upon me. |
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. |
Where shall I go from your spirit? or where shall I flee from your presence? It is comforting to know that He will never leave nor forsake us. |
If I ascend up into heaven, you are there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there. When we run to Him rather than away from Him, we find life more abundantly. |
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; |
Even there shall your hand lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. |
Yes, the darkness hides not from you; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to you. |
For you have possessed my reins: you have covered me in my mother`s womb. |
My substance was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. |
Your eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in your book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. |
How precious also are your thoughts unto me, O Lord! how great is the sum of them! |
If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with you. |
