Title: Superficially make something appear acceptable

Whitewashing people once they die is a common thing amongst humans.   An extreme case in point is George Floyd.   I recently gave a little talk in church about the phrase 'Rest In Peace' - RIP.   Essentially, stating that or putting it on a gravestone is futile.   Whether or not a person 'rests in peace' is totally determined by the state they were in when they drew their last breath.

It is also a common human thing for us to only remember the good that a person did while alive.   I think this is because people believe that when good outweighs bad, God will accept us.

The reality is that each of us are faced with a major decision that we make at some point in our lives.   That decision has to do with 'What will I do with Jesus Christ?'

We admire beautiful, talented, wealthy, powerful people but in God's eyes they are simply souls in need of His salvation.   Their gifts (from God) may bless humanity in various ways but His purpose in creating us is to love Him in response to His love for us.

So, when anyone dies it is totally dishonest to assess them in any other way than with respect to the decision they made for or against the Lord Jesus Christ who not only is the Creator, Mighty God, Savior, Healer, Deliverer, Lord and King of all but He is also the Righteous Judge before whom each of us will stand to hear His assessment.

Those who receive His GIFT of eternal life simply by believing in Him and receiving His Grace will enter into His presence forever.
Those who rejected His GIFT of eternal life will be cast into the furnace called the Lake Of Fire.

This is reality.

Compare and contrast this reality with the delusion under which many people choose to fritter their lives away.

We were created for His purpose which will ultimately be served.   For a space of time in this physical life we can choose our purpose but, when we draw our last breath, we fall back under His purpose.

The scriptures tell us very clearly: "It is appointed unto man once to die and after this the Judgment."

The point of this article is to sober you, to awaken you from delusion so that you don't miss the point of your existence.

If you have come to Christ to receive His life you are set for all eternity.
But those who have not are lost, deceived and in darkness.
Allowing such to be lost is unloving and not worthy of one who knows the Love Of Christ.

Tell the Truth.   Jesus is the Truth.

P.S.   I am fully aware that there are many people today who do not believe in God, the Bible or anything else said above.   Such are in immediate danger of hell fire.   Can they be saved?   Will they be saved?   Not without the preaching of the Gospel.
