Title: Christianity and Judaism diverged with Christ Jesus

I have seen where Jewish or at least pro-Israel sites promote interpretations of the New Testament from a Hebrew perspective.   I really don't see how the old cloth perspective is valuable to the new cloth of Grace.

Jesus was Jewish by virtue of his mother, but He performed the law to legitimize His sacrifice and to be accepted by the Hebrew people whom He came to save (His ministry was totally focused on Hebrews).

The reason He was rejected is that the Hebrews knew He was undermining Judaism, replacing it with Grace - which is essentially trusting in Him as Creator, Mighty God, Savior, Lord and King.

Hebrew culture has nothing to do with Grace.   Trying to fit Grace into Judaism was an early church problem as all of the Apostles were Jews.   As a result, those Apostles assumed Christianity to be an offshoot of Judaism thus carrying forward many of the traditions, rituals and Hebrew thinking.

The Apostle Paul received the clear revelation of Grace Through Faith directly from the Lord Jesus while in Arabia.   As a result he came preaching Christ independently of Judaism.   This caused a problem with the church at Jerusalem led by Peter and James.

The conflict was addressed and resolved (for the most part) about 15 years after Pentecost.   However, Paul had to address encroaching Judaism in , and .    Actually, the whole book of Hebrews was to address the encroachment of Judaism into Christianity.

Make sure you are not seduced by knowledgeable, maybe even well-intended scholars and writers to leave the 'simplicity that is in Christ' for some hybrid Judeo Christian thinking.   The Hebrew mindset is perverted as evidenced by 2000 years of rejecting the Lord of Glory.

The fact that Jews who become Christians cannot turn away from their Jewish roots is troubling.   I have much respect for Jonathan Cahn, Michael Brown and Rabbi Kirt Schneider, but neither Judaism nor its traditions bring anything positive into Christianity.

The Catholic Church is largely a product of Jewish influence on Christianity with its forms, rituals, ceremonies and religious trappings.

Christ came to make us Free Indeed and that freedom is only found in intimate, personal relationship with Him - His Word and His Holy Spirit.

Blessings in Jesus' name!

Judaism offers NOTHING to pure, true Christianity.

Jesus was killed because He came to replace Judaism with the Truth.

To the extent you pour the New Wine into the Old Bottle you lose.   To the extent you sew New Cloth into an old rag you waste your time.

The Book of Hebrews was Paul's attempt to stop the retrograding of Christianity back into Judaism.

He was unsuccessful as is witnessed by the Catholic Church being a sacrament, ritual based religion rather than a promotion of and celebration of Christ in us the hope of glory.

Jesus want's an intimate, personal relationship with you whereby you are authorized and empowered by Him to manifest as a Son Of God.

Judaism is locked into the Law and it is a racial/ethnic/semitic thing.   The Law was supplanted by Grace.

Under Grace the Holy Spirit of Christ Jesus writes His law in our hearts such that we supernaturally obey the law without thought of it.

Under Judaism, physical descendants of Abraham are Chosen.

Under Christianity, those who receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are Chosen.

Christianity is NOT Judaism with Jesus.

Christianity is NOT a religion, nor race, nor club.

The church, the body of Christ is the set of all believers in Jesus Christ who have received His Word as their authority and have received His Holy Spirit as their inspiration and power.   Christianity is the set of all people who are One with Christ Jesus.

Jesus was and still is rejected by Judaism.   There can be fellowship without agreement.

If you believe that Jesus is God you cannot be in agreement with those who deny Him.

Judaism has always tried to undermine Christianity.   It is not much different than Islam in that sense except in its tactics.

The Book of Hebrews was Paul's attempt to deflate the arguments of the Judaisers.
