Title: Supporting a ministry as a regular donor

Partnering is the subscription based way that ministries are able to consistently provide media, crusade and/or missionary outreach.

The secular world thrives on subscriptions which provide them a constant source of income enabling them to project whether they will be successful or not.

The notion of Opportunity Cost applies to things in the ministry as well as in the secular world.

However much time a minister spends ministering or preparing for ministy, that time is not available for him to do anything else.

" Time is money."

That is a well known maxim in the business world which understands Opportunity Cost and the concept of the Leaking Bucket.

For a secular entertainment or news organization to provide quality products and services they must invest in tools, staff and other property.   These things cost money which is an investment.

Their expectation is that there will be returns on their investment.

If there are no attendees or subscribers the enterprise will fail.   If it fails often enough it will fold.

These same principles apply to Ministry which operates in the secular realm to provide the logistics for accomplishing things in the Spirit Realm.

Always be anxious to partner with healthy, holy, profitable enterprises.

Always be reluctant to partner with unhealthy, unholy or unprofitable enterprises.

In the Ministry, blessing people, saving people, healing people and delivering people makes it a profitable enterprise.
Now you Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but you only.
Unfortunately, it appears that only the church at Phillipi supported Paul`s ministry.

When media, crusade or missionary ministries ask for support you should do some research before partnering with them.     However, if the ministry is truly using your financial support to further the preaching of the Gospel of Christ, you share in the rewards of their ministry when you support them.

For even in Thessalonica you sent once and again unto my necessity.
The Phillipians were constant in their support even while he was ministering in other churches.

I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.
Paul would have never been able to reach Corinth if it were not for the provision of the Lord through people supporting his ministry.

And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brothers which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.
It is terrible how money is made into an issue when it is simply a tool for accomplishing things.     It is not an end to itself.

Yet Paul has to defend himself for asking for and receiving offerings that are necessary for the furtherance of the Gospel.

Carnal Minded people (including some believers) see material wealth as and end to itself and so are prone to questionning the integrity of those who would ask for it for use in ministry.
